How about us...
Moses prayed and Israel saw the Red Sea waters parted by our God. (Exodus 14)
Hanna prayed and fasted and our God gave her Samuel. (1 Samuel 1:16-18)
David called on God, the army of the living God saw our God defeat Goliath. (1 Sam. 17)
Jesus prayed and then called His disciples to choose twelve Apostles. (Luke 6:12-16)
Jesus prayed and then got up to pick up His cross. (Matthew 26:36-46)
I believe it is safe to say when we pray God hears our prayers; when we pray God answers our prayers; when we pray we can expect to see God do great things among us. We need to pray for everything and through all things. (Philippians 4:5-7)

Keep on...
Let us keep on praying for our calling from the Lord to Move Forward! We are not praying to see a budget change, but to see lives changed; we are not praying to acquire a new land, but for God to do great things on that land and beyond. We are praying for the people who are in your heart for Christ as we make room for one more. We are praying for our own hearts to be changed by our Father to do what He is calling us to do as a church for our community in our city. |
Praises and Requests...
- Praises for our recent Advance Briefings
- Please pray for our next two weeks Stewardship Study - for us to know how to be God's managers of what He has entrusted to us.
- Please pray for November's Prayer week - for us to be intentionally engaged as one body, with one mind, and with one heart seeking our Father's leading for our lives.
- Please pray for the people who are on our hearts. I have asked you before to pray with me for Perfecto's salvation and He is now saved. Let us keep on lifting up in prayer those the Lord has placed in our hearts that still need to know Him.
- Pray for our Elders and church leadership to continue to be strong and courageous.

Prayer Week...
We will spend the first week of November on our knees seeking to hear from God what He will have us do in response to what He has been teaching us and showing us during this time in the history of our church. All Life Groups have received the prayer guide for this week. We will also be loading the church vans on November 4th to drive to the land to pray over it, on it and for it!

Fasting..
We also will be fasting during November 15th - 22nd. We want to be prepared to hear from God as He answers our prayers for our next step He is calling us to take. This moment is right before a major victory for our church. We want to fast to be prepared for His blessing upon us!

Thank you...
Thank you for spending "Knee to Knee and Face to Face" time-this is a time that you spend with your friends, family, Bible study group, etc. in prayer with the Father. I thank you for praying for our Minneapolis mission trip that allow twelve of our church members to GO. We received great training that we can apply here in the Kansas City metropolitan area soon! Some of us stayed back and got to experience how to apply the training we received with our Somalis friends in Minneapolis.
